Galen is an experienced trial lawyer and former federal prosecutor, currently focusing on a variety of fintech, privacy/security, and e-commerce disputes. Galen splits his time between compliance work and litigating and arbitrating a variety of cases, including cryptocurrency and privacy disputes.

Galen’s unique background combines his experience as a financial regulator, cybersecurity practitioner, federal prosecutor, and litigator of complex and novel legal matters. Galen brings the perspective of government regulators when he counsels clients on the best way to minimize risk and exposure to investigations and enforcement actions. Galen’s deep industry knowledge allows him to understand his clients’ goals more thoroughly and advise on ways to unlock new business in a safe and compliant manner.

Leveraging his prosecution and litigation experience, Galen seeks justice for clients in matters involving consumer protection, intellectual property, cybersecurity & privacy, antitrust, securities & fraud, white collar litigation, and class actions. Galen represents consumers who have been harmed by financial institutions and other companies who have shirked their responsibilities.

Prior to joining the firm, Galen litigated complex civil matters and prosecuted federal felony cases. Galen was selected for both the U.S. Attorney General’s esteemed summer internship and Honors programs. Galen also served as a law clerk to the Hon. Lisa Worswick at the Washington Court of Appeals.

During law school, Galen was an associate editor for the school’s law review and a two-time moot court champion. Before law school, Galen was a financial regulator and cybersecurity practitioner.
